A Typical Week of a Project Manager at Technotherm Ltd.:

As a Project Manager at Technotherm, you are at the core of delivering exceptional results in the cold insulation industry. This role demands a balance of strategic planning, leadership, and hands-on involvement, both in the office and on-site. It’s challenging, rewarding, and vital to our continued success.

Monday: Setting the Week’s Tone

  • If a new project is starting, you’ll kick off with a pre-project meeting at 7:00 AM sharp with the team assigned to the job. This involves reviewing the site folder, drawings, photos, and other critical details to ensure everyone is aligned and ready.

  • If no new projects are launching, you’ll still meet the entire team at 7:00 AM to provide updates, address any immediate concerns, and send the operatives off to their respective sites.

  • After the meeting, your day may involve site visits to ongoing projects. Here, you’ll touch base with customers, ensure the quality of work meets our high standards, and solve any issues the site operatives may encounter.

Tuesday & Wednesday: On the Move

  • These days are typically dedicated to site visits and upcoming site surveys, often accompanied by the Sales Manager. You’ll spend time motivating the operatives, addressing real-time challenges, and maintaining open communication with clients to ensure their satisfaction.

  • Depending on the location of the sites, staying overnight might be necessary. This on-the-ground presence reinforces our commitment to quality and strengthens relationships with both the team and clients.

Thursday: Critical Planning and Analysis

  • Thursdays are office-focused days where you take a deep dive into project progress and future planning. You’ll:

  • Conduct internal progress meetings to compare current project statuses against budgets.

  • Work with the accounts team to review invoices and forecast project finances.

  • Adjust Gantt charts to reflect any changes or updates.

  • Plan ahead by coordinating accommodations, materials, and site team targets for the coming weeks.

This is a pivotal day to ensure everything is on track and running smoothly.

Friday: Preparing for the Week Ahead

  • Fridays are about tying up loose ends and setting up the team for success. Your tasks may include:

  • Preparing all necessary paperwork and documentation for the upcoming week.

  • Sharing the following week’s targets with site teams.

  • Touching base with customers to confirm expectations and provide updates.

By the end of the day, the groundwork for the next week is set, ensuring minimal disruptions and a clear path forward.

Ongoing Responsibilities

  • Throughout the week, you’ll also handle daily tasks such as:

  • Conducting daily team meetings with supervisors to stay updated on progress.

  • Monitoring project group chats for updates and resolving issues promptly.

  • Liaising with workshop fabricators to ensure materials and consumables are on schedule.

  • Managing material requests and ensuring site operatives are fully trained.

  • Collecting customer feedback after every project to continually improve our services.

Weekend Work and Shutdowns:

Occasionally, weekend work is required for shutdowns. These are critical times where your presence may be necessary to oversee operations and ensure flawless execution. Your initiative and decision-making during these moments are key to maintaining Technotherm’s reputation for excellence.
