Cold Storage Facility Insulation – Co. Kildare

Technotherm recently completed an insulation project for a customer who was converting a renovated dry goods store into a fully functional cold storage facility. With a tight deadline and the need for precision and efficiency, our team worked diligently to ensure the cooler was operational as quickly as possible.

Cold storage facilities require high-performance insulation to maintain low temperatures efficiently while reducing energy consumption. For this project, we focused on enhancing thermal performance and ensuring the system would run reliably under extreme conditions.

Project Scope & Execution:​

Our site team carried out insulation work on several key components of the refrigeration system, including:

• Insulating new headers, covering both wet return and pumped liquid lines

• Installing insulation on a newly fitted valve station

• Insulating approximately 150 meters of pipework

• Using foam-in-place injection for maximum thermal efficiency and durability

• Ensuring an operating temperature of -40°C, crucial for effective cold storage

Despite the project's fast turnaround, precision and quality remained our top priorities. By applying durable and energy-efficient insulation, we helped create a highly effective refrigeration system capable of maintaining the required low temperatures.
